The Marketer's Network

Because your friends and family have no clue what you're talking about!

It's exponentially easier to repeatedly sell to existing customers than
constantly hunting for new customers.

That's what makes membership sites a big deal.

So that's what we're going to talk about here.

But not restricted just to just web sites though. Let's talk about adding a "Continuity Component" to just about any business.

Subscription revenue can be really big. More importantly, it can be a very stable source of income.

Membership Sites In 3 Simple Steps
1) Create remarkable "content" for your members.
2) Provide tremendous "value" that makes pricing a no-brainer
3) Allow your members to "promote" your site for a piece of the pie

Yup, that's oversimplifying it a lot. But if you really think about it, those are pretty much the main building blocks for any subscription-based business.

And then throw WordPress into the mix, and a good membership plugin to make your life easy, and suddenly, you now have more time to focus on the content and the marketing.

Create just 1 week's worth of content, you can launch your membership site tomorrow.

Well, I have a lot up my sleeve. I will slowly "drip" all of my tricks here :-)

So stay tuned.

Cheers!

DigitalAccessPass, Membership Plugin for WordPress
Ravi, YES Yes! I agree.

I have found that using Wordpress as the framework and turning it into a Membership Site is a great way to go - in fact it is now my preferred method because its a lot easier and less trouble in getting set up.

Wordpress provide many great Plugins - and Plugins and Apps are the way of the future.

You also need to modify the basic Templates Themes to suit your own needs. I've been doing this for ages :-)

If any Members are at all interested in my new Wordpress Themes (WP Website Themes) please let me know and I would be happy to provide a good discount. In fact - wp-websitethemes.com is about to turn into a membership Site as well

Go for it, this is good advice.

Cheers,

Bruce,

Yes, WordPress is incredible indeed! Amazing how easy it makes creating and managing your content.

There are some good commercial WordPress membership plugins out there, one of which I have co-developed.

Here's a comparison chart of my software (DigitalAccessPass) vs a few others, so that you can judge for yourself.

Wow, that's a lot of features. This just gets better and better.
I'm curious to learn what Wordpress plugin or method you use to set up a membership site within Wordpress.

I'm on the verge of doing this to a couple of my sites, including http://HowToSellYourVideos.com. Can't wait to see this group grow and share information.
Rick,

I use http://DigitalAccessPass.com , a membership plugin for WordPress.

Full disc: I am the founder & co-developer :-) .

Very interesting. I look forward to learning more about membership sites and your plugin. I've looked at a number of them. Simplicity of use, for both me and my members, is paramount.
I'm going to take the DigitalAccessPass demo plugin a try. I'm wondering, before I start, is it difficult to start using when you already have a fairly robust Wordpress site? Can you move some of the material that is already open to the public into the membership area?
Rick,

If you have existing content, it's actually faster and easier to get going, because you actually will have content to "protect".

You can easily mark any content is "Open" (open to general public), "Free" (as in only to logged in free users), and "Paid" (those who have paid).

And setting up the protection and the dripping is a total breeze.

Also check out the "Membership Site In A Box" option at the site, if you want to get going faster and can use some one-on-one guidance with setup and configuration.
